Overview of projects and operations – August 2025
OFFSHORE CORNER
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
A new geotechnical campaign kicked off at the beginning of August, and the project has been demanding. The complete data package from the first borehole, together with CPTu results, was submitted to the Client. Data from the Sylur vessel are coming in steadily. The Geotechnical Survey Department and other units are working hard to provide the Client with the best quality data possible.
With the task completed, the equipment is being demobilised from the NDI quay. Both locations have been covered. Congratulations to the entire team from the Pracuś vessel for their massive dedication and readiness for special tasks.
Hydro Team
We are currently processing and verifying project data (from Amber Agatha, Helot and Amber Cecilia). We are also preparing for the Baltic Pipe inspection and training in EIVA eLearning modules.
Seismic Survey Team
In August, the Seismic Team focused on three main areas: ongoing processing of SBP project data, optimisation of the Fast Track sequence, and active participation in the preparation of bids for seismic survey tenders.
SBP data processing was our priority. The task was based on a customised sequence, which enabled fast acquisition of high-quality data ready for interpretation. The key stages included:
– noise removal,
– improvement of data consistency through the implementation of static corrections,
– calibration with MBES data, which allowed for the creation of a consistent and accurate subsurface model.
The processed data were submitted to the interpretation team on an ongoing basis, which ensured smooth progress and enabled further analyses to begin on schedule.
At the same time, intensive work was carried out on the development and optimisation of the Fast Track sequence. In a shortened version of MCS data processing, the processing sequence was analysed and improved, with a special emphasis on multiple elimination algorithms – one of the key challenges in MCS data processing. Our analyses showed that the efficiency of this process stage could be significantly increased.
August was a period of intensified work, combining precise SBP data processing with the development of procedures and technologies, which strengthened both day-to-day project activities and the strategic competencies of the team.
MAG Team
After successful project completion, our MAG Team is focusing on enhancing its competencies in anticipation of new challenges. Internal training is currently underway to develop data processing skills, which will help the team respond even more effectively to future project needs.
This is a period of robust development and building solid foundations for future achievements.
ADMINISTRATION’S ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s time for archive work!
The Administrative Team has put on gloves, making its way through dusty files to bring order to the documents collected over the past years. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the swift completion of this task.
MEWO-POSITIVE
This time, the recurring meeting known as ‘Packing with Heart’ took place at the ‘Hospitable Haven’ Neighbourhood House in Orunia, Gdańsk. As every month, we packed birthday presents for beneficiaries of the Gdańsk Social Innovation Foundation, while learning a little about their passions and dreams. We also had a chance to tour the facility, meeting its staff and users. Hospitable Haven is a place where different generations meet – from toddlers attending classes with their parents, through a kindergarten situated in the building, ‘The Pack’ club for teens who follow rules similar to those of the Scouts, to senior clubs (six in total!) with various lead themes.
TIDBITS
Did you know that… In 2025, we have employed 41 people so far. Quite a lot, especially considering that many Polish companies have shown restraint during the same period.
