MEWO wins the ‘Ace of Ecology’ title

As every year in late October, the editors of ‘Zawsze Pomorze’, in cooperation with the Government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, honoured the winners of the ‘Business Aces’ competition. Among over 30 companies nominated in 7 categories for their exceptional effectiveness, creativity and social sensitivity, our MEWO Team was awarded the ‘Ace of Ecology’ title.

The competition jury recognised our contribution to the protection of the Baltic Sea, highlighting the application of modern subsea technologies supporting the processes of inventory analysis, monitoring and protection of the marine environment, e.g. in the context of erecting wind farms and drilling platforms. Special attention was paid to the use of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), which facilitate data collection from hard-to-reach offshore areas. By contributing to a better understanding of the processes taking place in the Baltic ecosystem, we are supporting the development of the Pomeranian region.

‘This is a special award for us, being a local distinction, and things happening locally are often most difficult to notice’, said MEWO’s CEO Tomasz Malicki while accepting the statuette during the gala ceremony.

The ‘Ace of Ecology’ award has already found its place of honour at our headquarters, encouraging the entire MEWO Team to continued effort.
